Available IEP Accommodations (Specially Designed Instruction)

Almost everything I have researched has indicated there is no wrong answer when it comes to requesting IEP / 504 accommodations.  If you think it will help your student succeed, ask for it!  The worst the school can say is no.  And even then, you don't have to take no for an answer.

Advocate for your child.  If you don't, who will?

When you request the accommodations, make sure it is done in writing.  Send the letter a traceable way (return receipt requested or delivery confirmation) so that if you need to seek mediation / arbitration / appeals / court, etc., you have proof of when the requested was provided to the school.

Here are some nifty links I came across.  There are over 500 available accommodations for your student.  Tailor them to suit your needs!
